A Wethersfield or Hartford County, Ct. rosette carved crested banister back armchair, painted green, in maple and hickory from the Yale Art Gallery, circa 1730, and the collection of Lillian Cogan of Farmington, Ct. Lillian had the same chair but with a fleur-de-lis carved crest and two small turning variations, painted red. However, Lillian's chair has better proportioned turnings, so I used those turnings. Perhaps someday Yale may acquire that chair as well. 1992. NY, NY.
