Replicas: Pilgrim century 'Great Chair', circa, 1670
Slat-Back armchair from Eastern Ma., Salem or Boston. The turning details ( the very top of the finials are slightly more bulbous than the Mary English armchair) are from the example in the collection at Historic Deerfield. It is made of ash throughout and painted black-green with a natural rush seat. Built two in 2010. Woodbury, Ct. and one for myself.
